1. About RentHuman
RentHuman is a marketplace for small digital tasks. A person or organisation posting work is a Poster. A person completing work is a Worker. RentHuman provides campaign targeting, reservation, proof, review, dispute and payment-accounting tools. RentHuman does not employ Workers and does not promise that a campaign will fill or that a Worker will receive a particular amount of work.
The current test service is operated under the RentHuman product name. Final operator details will appear here before commercial launch.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract where you live. Information supplied during registration, targeting and payout setup must be accurate and kept current.
Workers sign in using Google. Posters may use Google or, once transactional email is enabled, a verified username-and-password account. You are responsible for activity in your account and must not share access, create deceptive duplicate identities or use another person's payout destination.
An account may hold both Worker and Poster roles. Administrator access is separate and is never granted through ordinary registration.
3. Digital tasks only
RentHuman is designed for work completed online. Geography is an eligibility filter—for example, selecting people who live in London to review a public online store profile—not an instruction to travel, attend an event or perform an in-person errand.
Posters must describe the public task honestly. Confidential URLs, campaign assets and detailed instructions belong in the private brief, which unlocks only after a Worker reserves a spot.
4. Prohibited work and conduct
You must not use RentHuman to request or perform:
- illegal activity, fraud, impersonation, harassment, threats or discrimination;
- fake reviews, undisclosed endorsements, artificial streams, fabricated testimonials or deceptive engagement;
- account sharing, credential collection, security bypasses, malware or unauthorised access;
- spam, mass unsolicited contact, doxxing or collection of sensitive personal information without a lawful basis;
- infringement of copyright, trade marks, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- dangerous, sexual or exploitative material, including any task involving a minor;
- work that violates the rules of the platform where it will appear.
Paid promotional activity must be disclosed wherever applicable. A Poster may pay for a genuine action or honest feedback but may not require a false opinion or conceal a material commercial relationship.
5. Campaigns, targeting and reservations
The Poster sets the reward per approved result, number of spots, audience, estimated time, proof format and joining method. A campaign becomes available only after required moderation and funding checks.
A reservation temporarily holds one funded spot. The current standard reservation window is 24 hours. Eligibility is evaluated using the Worker's current country, city, language, declared capabilities, devices and other selected criteria. Deliberately falsifying eligibility may result in rejection, loss of marketplace access or account suspension.
6. Proof, review and automatic approval
The private proof checklist shown at reservation is the standard used to review the result. A Poster may approve, request one correction against the original requirements, or reject with a reason. A correction cannot introduce a new requirement.
Once a submission and any uploaded files are available for review, the current review period is 48 hours. If the Poster takes no action before the deadline, the submission is automatically approved. Files held for safety review do not start the Poster review clock until the hold is cleared.
7. Rejections and appeals
A rejected Worker may appeal within the period displayed by the product, currently 72 hours. RentHuman may review the original brief, proof, correction history, Worker statement and Poster response. RentHuman may uphold the rejection or overturn it and credit the Worker. Decisions may also account for fraud, prohibited conduct and platform-integrity evidence.
8. Funding, balances and payouts
Posters fund the full Worker allocation before publication. Stripe settlement relies on signed provider webhooks. A Wise or manual bank transfer is credited only after an administrator matches the exact amount and unique campaign reference.
Approval creates a Worker balance entry. A displayed balance is an internal marketplace accounting record until a payout is completed. Workers configure a supported payout destination and may be asked for information reasonably required for sanctions, fraud, tax or payment-provider checks.
The preview supports reviewed Wise or manual payout batches. A requested payout may remain pending while its destination is verified and may be returned to the available balance if the external transfer fails. Provider charges, exchange-rate differences and legally required deductions will be shown or communicated where applicable before production launch.
9. Fees, refunds and taxes
Any marketplace fee must be shown before a Poster funds a campaign or a Worker requests a payout. No hidden fee is created by this document.
Workers are responsible for determining and paying taxes arising from their earnings. Posters are responsible for taxes, disclosures and legal obligations connected to their campaigns. RentHuman may provide records but does not give tax advice.
Unused campaign funding, cancelled campaigns, payment disputes and chargebacks are handled according to the state of the funded spots and any amounts already owed to Workers. Money already earned for approved work will not be treated as unused Poster funds.
10. Content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant RentHuman a limited licence to store, process, reproduce and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and support the marketplace, resolve disputes and comply with law.
A Poster receives rights to an approved deliverable only to the extent stated in the campaign brief or separately agreed with the Worker. Posting a task does not transfer ownership of third-party material, and neither role may upload material it has no right to use.
11. Moderation, suspension and closure
RentHuman may moderate campaigns, quarantine proof files, place a safety hold, restrict payouts, pause activity or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, follow provider requirements or comply with law.
An account-closure request pauses new work while existing assignments, appeals, balances and payout obligations are settled. Required financial, safety and legal records may be retained in pseudonymised form after private profile data is erased.
12. Service availability and liability
The preview service may change, stop or contain defects. Production service commitments, exclusions, liability caps and mandatory consumer-rights wording must be completed for the operator's jurisdiction before commercial launch. Nothing in the final terms will exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Changes
Material changes receive a new policy version. Existing Workers and Posters may be required to accept the current version before receiving or posting new work. Existing assignments, appeals, earnings and payouts remain accessible while acceptance is pending.
14. Contact and formal notices
Product questions can be raised through the support channel displayed in the account area. The final operator name, postal address, legal notice email and dispute venue must be added here before public launch.
